« The public speaks. The eye protects. »

Luxury streetwear, designed in Dubai for 45°C. Édition 01 is four pieces: a tee, a long sleeve, a polo and a hoodie. Fifty of each. When they are gone we do not make them again.

The Mark

Look closely at the mark. The strokes around the centre are guillemets, « », the quotation marks that French and Arabic share. We are called L’Opinion Publique, public opinion, and everything the public says, it says in quotes.

At the centre sits a diamond with a coral pupil. An eye. Because what the public does not say, it looks.

People here have always worn an eye to meet the gaze of the crowd. Ours is drawn from punctuation: speech marks around a watching centre. French on the surface, protection underneath.

Having an opinion is easy. Wearing one takes nerve. Every piece carries the eye: armor for those bold enough to show up as themselves.

The Public Eye

We release in éditions, the way a magazine releases issues. Each one is numbered, made once, and never repeated. Édition 01 is four pieces, fifty of each, every one built for heat and humidity rather than for a European catalogue.

The Statement Tee

220gsm garment-washed organic bamboo, chosen to breathe in a climate that punishes cotton. The eye held precise at the chest; the full édition spoken across the back.

The Heavyweight Hoodie

480gsm loopback terry, left unbrushed so it holds its shape for years without holding the heat. Every stroke tonal, so the coral pupil is the only colour in the room.

The Polo

Mercerised pima pique. The weave is textured, so it lifts off the skin instead of clinging. The eye is embroidered small at the chest and once more at the nape.

The Long Sleeve

200gsm bamboo jersey, the lightest piece in the édition. Long in the sleeve for sun rather than cold. The ceremonial block sits inside the neck, where only the wearer finds it.

Only four pieces. Fifty of each. No reissue. While the public speaks, the eye protects its own.

The Standard

One rule runs through everything we make: the eye resolves to a single point of coral. Embroidered, printed, or cut in felt, but always one point, never a field.

It keeps the decoration cheap to make and the cloth expensive to buy, which is the way round we wanted it. There is no large logo to pay for, so the budget goes into the fabric and the cut.
